“What Is The Meaning Of This” highlights Paul Gazda’s conceptually and technically innovative art which has evolved over 35 years from simple photo collages of landscapes to complex mixed media assemblages dealing with ideas.  Fresh and vibrant examples of artwork throughout his career, touching on politics, science, ethics, history and philosophy, are presented.

Reflecting on how his work has evolved, Gazda says “I have always been fascinated by materials, media and possibilities…and keep asking myself ‘what happens if…?’ I think my joy of exploration has helped me find ways of expressing ideas without being afraid to push boundaries; and that helps to draw people into the art.”
