Getting Under Our Skin

The persistence of skin color bias is laid bare through archival materials and candid one on one interviews. From the global skin bleaching epidemic to the murder of George Floyd, race and colorism are viewed through the science and culture of color dating back to Ancient Egypt.

At the present time this film is serving as a teaching tool at Eastern Connecticut State University in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Criminology and Social Work.
