…and this is the story thus far

“…and this is the story thus far” is a new multimedia dance choreographed by Regina Nejman where the stage is approached as a “site”. Created for six dancers with live electronic guitar accompaniment by Britt Reagan interwoven with recorded Brazilian popular music and film projections by Regina Nejman, the piece is choreographed for the stage’s nuances, including walls, stairs, and poles, where themes such as memory, real and fictional life stories are explored. As in many of Regina’s work there is a “Brasilidade” that emerges through the music and themes explored.

… and this is the story thus far” has been made possible in part with public funds from the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the Puffin Foundation, and FABnyc Space Grant at The Standard, Highline.
