The Future Within Us

How do you envision the future? What aspects of that world are already here? The Future Within Us kicked off the 5th Climate Change Theatre Action global festival with original short plays that grappled with a changing world.

Presented at Caveat NYC on September 17, 2023, the evening featured five short plays, two musical numbers, and a series of magic tricks. As they entered the space, audience members were asked to pick a card from an EcoTarot card deck designed by artist Adriene Jenik. At the end of the performance, the significance of each card was revealed and the audience was given a series of climate resources curated for each personality type (as determined by the cards).
