Goldblooded

A man, Lapis, attempts suicide only to find gold particles run through his veins.

After assaulting the EMTs, he escapes the ambulance and staggers through the night.

Over the next few days Lapis finds new and different inventive ways of extracting the gold but it never seems to become lucrative and continually functions at a loss.

Soon his gambles gets too big as he tries to rob his own blood from a donation clinic.

This is a short that will eventually be expanded into a feature.
