Picturing Grace, Florida at First Light
Along a salty edge of the once great Everglades, I discovered the art of photographing the Florida landscape at first light. “Lone Dancer with Moon,” a first light portrait of a red mangrove tree, was and still remains that all important first step in what has become a journey of environmental portraiture; a journey told as well in the number of cars, cameras and film canisters that it took to reach this new point of beginning: the making of an honest little book about my native state and called “Picturing Grace, Florida at First Light.”
